Medication monitoring is conducted by a psychiatrist who will evaluate the client and determine if medi­ cation is necessary for the ongoing treatment for a mental health condition.The psychiatrist will prescribe and monitor how well the medication is working by meeting the client for regular medication monitoring. The doctor may include education on medication, and the uses and side effects. The doctor may also order lab work and other medical tests to insure the best treatment is rendered to the client.
